He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and sets me on my high places.
David said that God ‘sets me upon my high places’. How reassuring it is to know that God has created high places individually for us. Those places serve as a refuge from trouble as well as strategic placement in warfare against the enemy.
As we continue to trust God for His divine provision in every area of our lives, we should also know that His divine protection is also a part of His plan for us. He will cause us to be spiritually swift and able to out-maneuver our enemy. He will set us up in high places, not to flee in fear from our circumstances or problems, but to gain divine, strategic perspective on how to overcome them and live victoriously.
And while we are in these high places, our feet will not slip because it is God who holds us up—and His strong hands never fail.
